Since its founding in 1912, Techno Smart has supported customers who take on the challenge of bringing new products to market. Today, our coating and drying technologies are used across a wide range of manufacturing fields that support society, including displays and energy-related equipment. Through these technologies, we enhance the quality of final products and help advance people’s lives — an endeavor in which we take great responsibility and pride.

At the heart of our company lies the “engineer’s spirit.” It reflects our deep respect for Japan’s monozukuri tradition — our manufacturing ethos — and our commitment to thinking for ourselves and seeing every challenge through to the very end.

In the past, I personally started from a blank sheet of paper, drawing blueprints and creating many new machines. Through my experience in diverse roles — including design, cost estimation, sales, manufacturing, and procurement — I encountered many challenges. Each time, we thought carefully, shared our collective wisdom, and devised creative approaches to overcome them. When we succeed in creating something we can be truly proud of, it brings us profound joy as engineers.

Looking beyond Japan and toward the global market, we will continue to refine our technologies so that people around the world will say, “If it’s Techno Smart, it can be made a reality.” By pursuing new value in coating and drying technologies that only we can deliver, and by sincerely engaging with our customers’ aspirations, we will continue to advance lives together — both now and for the next 100 years.
