Current work description
Utilizing my design knowledge and experience, I am making efforts to improve product value.
Currently, as the chief leader,
I make concrete proposals to improve designs created by each staff member in order to increase the product value by balancing the functions and costs.
I also review the equipment from scratch, verify how it can be improved and standardized to reduce costs,
make proposals for reduction of the number of man-hours and mass production of certain parts at one place, leading to practical operations.
What pleases and motivates me
I like making things. When parts are created based on drawings made by me to become a machine and I can actually touch it, I feel a sense of accomplishment and a sense of satisfaction.
Currently, I am working to standardize machines that have already been in production.
I make a proposal to make machines easy for customers and field workers to handle and reduce costs at the same time to the manager; however, since it is strictly checked, the first proposal is not usually be approved. Although I have a hard time when I have more than one cases, it is all the more rewarding and I am filled with a feeling of accomplishment when they are completed.
What I value in my work
I value listening sincerely to customers and field workers. While having discussions with field workers who assemble machines and managers, I make a concession about what is negotiable, and regarding what is non-negotiable, I make a persistent effort until both parties satisfy themselves.
May be for that reason, I am sometimes told that I was stubborn (laughter).

Hobbies and how to spend holidays
My hobby is riding a motorcycle. I have been riding it since I was a student. On holidays, I mount my favorite motorcycle to ride in nature along the Lake Biwa and its surrounding areas. Sometimes I go alone and sometimes I go together with co-workers who like riding a motorcycle. I also enjoy camping and touring with tents and sleeping bags on motorcycles.
Motivation for applying for this company
I wanted to be involved in mechanical work and when I consulted my professor in the university laboratory about my desire to join a company that is engaged in mechanical design and manufacturing, he judged that the atmosphere of this company suited me and wrote a recommendation for me.
What I like about this company
This company has around 250 employees. The advantages of a company of this size are in that staff members are close to each other beyond the department and members at the Engineering department, in which drawings are made, and the Manufacturing department exchange their opinions on a daily basis.
These are very good because in actual work, in the case in which a machine designed by an engineer with good intentions is difficult to use, by having discussions with manufacturing members, this can be found soon.
Culture of this company
This company has not barriers among departments. I think that it is an open workplace where the human relationships are very flat.
