I was not a scientific student and not good at science or mathematics. So, I have had a series of challenges since I joined this company and the situation is the same even now. However, such challenges lead me to the next stage.
Current work description
Usually, we assemble machines, transport them to the site, and install them.
Since our products are large, we mostly install them at large factories.
Currently, we often deliver our products to overseas countries/regions mainly in Asia, including South Korea, Taiwan and China,
and
once I leave Japan on a business trip for installation, I am away from Japan usually for two to three months, or sometimes for half a year.
What pleases and motivates me
We deal with not a single machine but a combination of several machines, which eventually forms a long production line. I sometimes install a total of 50 to 60 machines one by one. I have difficulty when a situation that requires adjustment on site occurs. I must deal with the situation by thinking for myself or sometimes consulting my supervisors to operate machines. If one of the machines on the production line does not work, the entire line will stop. The feeling of relief and accomplishment when machines work as specified and the entire production line becomes in operation are indescribable.

How to spend holidays
I go for a bike ride with my children. Since I am sometimes away from home due to business trips, I always enjoy playing with my children on weekends that I can spend at home.
What I like about this company
When I joined the company, I could not read drawings at all. I also could not assemble machines very well, which was full of struggle. However, senior members taught the work to me with patience until I could understand it. I have wanted to leave the company before; however, I managed to overcome difficulties and understand the work. Now, the work is interesting. I am grateful to this company for supporting and watching over my challenges.
Motivation for applying for this company
My parents’ house is in Shiga Prefecture, where the factory is located, and the teacher in charge of the club that I belonged to was also in charge of occupation. That teacher advised me that I could feel safe because this company has a long history and so its management is stable. Also, my senior at the school also work for this company, which was attractive to me.
Culture of this company
All employees try to listen to others’ opinions and understand them. This seems to be the very attitude of this company. This company’s culture is the friendly atmosphere created by understanding each other.
