Contributing to advanced technology with the latest coating and drying equipment

We offer coating and floating technologies widely by making use of various products such as high-performance coating machines and dryers.
Each product is custom made. We deal with everything you need such as equipment design, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and test run. We are a manufacturer providing the attractiveness of manufacturing by making each product from scratch to its completion with our skilled craftsmanship.

As a coordinator of electrical instrumentation systems

I worked on this project as an engineer for adjustment of electrical instrumentation at the installation site and was primarily responsible for adjusting the unwinding and winding equipment.
We conducted the commissioning work with the aim of making it safer and easier for the customer’s production operators to operate and maintain.
It was the largest machinery I had ever worked on. There were so many items to check, and it was quite difficult to confirm and adjust whether the specifications were met, whether the interlocks were securely applied, and so on.

The equipment we delivered to our customer was different from what we have been involved in so far, and I learned a lot of new things during the adjustment work. Although I was in the position of an adjustment engineer, I feel it was a good experience.

In terms of my life during the business trip, although it was a long stay, I was able to spend some fulfilling days off playing sports and sightseeing with our company’s members and customer representatives. I learned that creating good relationships with customers is necessary to produce good machinery.

As a person in charge of assembly and installation in the manufacturing department

I am a member of the Manufacturing Department. It not only assembles our equipment, but also directs the installation of the completed equipment at the customer’s facility.
The equipment for this project was as large as 80 meters when all the machines that constitute it are installed. Many of the items were designed for the first time for our company, and we worked across the boundaries of sales, planning, design, materials, and manufacturing to assemble and install the equipment for our customer, who was waiting for the equipment to be completed, by demonstrating our maximum capabilities, including the experience we have cultivated.

What I paid special attention to in this project was to communicate closely with the client, business partners, local workers, and the interpreter. Toolbox meetings were held every two hours with the person in charge at each site to review problems and progress, and any corrections were made as quickly as possible. Talking face to face and exchanging opinions frankly allowed everyone on the site to work in the same direction. I realized that the importance of communication may be something common to all countries.

There were countless difficulties in the assembly and installation work, but when all the members on site overcame these difficulties and the large equipment started working as planned, it was the best moment for me as a person in charge of manufacturing. The work on site lasted 100 days. I would like to pass on to my juniors the importance of communication and the wonderful experience of working together as a team, which I learned through this project. I also hope to use the know-how and experience gained through it to develop our production techniques.

Manufacturing Department

As a person in charge of ordering materials

This project was a large-scale in size also for a person in charge of ordering materials. I felt tension continuously since the procurement prices for materials were of an unprecedented scale, and the profits would vary greatly depending on them.

In the past, we have arranged many items which had no records of procurement or items with large procurement costs. For this project, we paid unprecedented attention to price negotiations, specification confirmation, quality, and delivery date management, especially for items that had never been procured before. Since a delivery delay of a procured item directly affected the entire schedule of the project, the responsibility was heavy.

For example, in a situation where we were not sure whether a certain piece of equipment would be delivered on time, we frequently communicated with the person in charge of the supplier and made several trips to the supplier’s factory to shorten the delivery date. We also coordinated the assembly process with our manufacturing department personnel, clarified when procured items were needed, and prioritized them. As a result, the equipment could be shipped without delay.

We successfully handled all other procured items also without delivery delay. We also believe that careful price negotiations contributed to our profits. I learned again that for such a large project, close reporting and communication not only with the materials department but also with the related departments, confirmation of specifications, and quality and process control will enable to deliver the equipment that meets the customer’s requirements without delay. This experience is shared not only by the person in charge, but also by the entire Procurement Division, and is utilized as our company’s know-how.
